Circuits:
Circuits are at 1000' QFE always to the West - i.e. Left hand for 02 & 34 and Right hand for 20 & 16. A relief runway has been established parallel to Runway 02/20 and is used when main runway is undergoing maintenance or when the surface is being protected. Aircraft using Rochester Airport are required to have £1000,000 insurance and it is recommended that at least the 3rd party liability insurance cover mandated by the new EU directive for Aviation insurance - typically £3000,000. Proof of this shall be available for inspection whilst the aircraft is at Rochester Airport.

Operating Hours:
08:00 - 18:00 (Local Time) Later by arrangement or when PAFRA generously picks up the tab !
Home based aircraft requiring fuel should land no later than 17:30 and for hangared aircraft no later than 17:45.
Visitors should be advised that they can only operate here during the airports licensed opening hours, this is a safety and licensing issue and that Telephone PPR is now required due to management demands.
Warnings:
A road runs East - West immediately to the south of runway 34. Visual glideslope for runway 20R are visible to the East of the extended centre line where obstacle clearance is not guaranteed. They should not be used until the aircraft is aligned with the extended centreline.
